Sharing Your Prior Imaging with Us

If you’ve had imaging done at another facility, sending those prior scans to us can help your care team get a more complete picture of your health. It also allows our radiologists to compare new results with past studiesimproving diagnostic accuracy and reducing the need for repeat scans. The earlier you share them with us, the better we can prepare for your visit.

There are a few easy ways to share your images with us:

Option 1: Upload Images Online

If your previous imaging facility gives you online access to your images, you can download them to your computer and use our secure link to upload them directly to us. Just alert us at wcinypmedrec@med.cornell.edu when your upload is complete and provide us with your name and date of birth so that we can make sure the exams are added appropriately to your chart.

Option 2: Ask Your Imaging Facility to Send Them

If your past imaging provider participates in electronic image exchange, they may be able to send your images directly to us, simply share this information with them. Again, just alert us at wcinypmedrec@med.cornell.edu after the study has been shared and provide us with your name and date of birth so that we can make sure the exams are added appropriately to your chart.
