As always, our dedicated imaging specialists including radiologists, registered radiologist assistants, nurse practitioners and registered nurse navigators are available to answer any questions. Our team is available to help guide patients through breast imaging examinations to ensure personalized and optimal care.
Breast Imaging Video Visits
Weill Cornell Imaging at NewYork-Presbyterian is offering an opportunity to discuss and review recent breast imaging via a scheduled virtual video visit with a radiologist. Video visits are conducted from the convenience of the Weill Cornell Connect patient portal. During this visit, patients will be able to view their images while speaking to the radiologist in order to gain a better understanding of their results. Dense Breast Tissue & Breast Cancer Screening
New York State law requires us to notify patients if they are found to have dense breast tissue. This notification includes the following; having dense breast tissue may increase your risk of getting breast cancer. Dense breasts also make it more difficult for radiologists to spot cancer on mammograms. While mammography is still the best test available to detect breast cancer, patients with dense breasts may consider additional screening exams such as ultrasound and MRI.
