Dr. Ranjini Srinivasan Leads Pediatric and Fetal Cardiac MRI at Weill Cornell Imaging

For Dr. Srinivasan, leading this effort is both deeply personal and incredibly meaningful. “I understand what it feels like to be pregnant and to hear bad news about your child and be desperate for answers. When parents are expecting a child with heart disease, there is so much fear and uncertainty,” she says. “Offering Fetal Cardiac MRI will give families more information and empower them,” supporting thoughtful, confident choices for their child. 

Building this area of expertise has been Dr. Srinivasan’s life’s work. After completing her cardiology fellowship training, she pursued an additional two-year advanced imaging fellowship at the National Institutes of Health, where she saw firsthand how cardiac MRIs could transform the care of children with heart disease.
